If you’ve already been diagnosed with a heart condition, you may want a check-up, repeat tests or a second opinion without a long wait. Our packages give you access to tests and specialist cardiologists who can review how things are going. We don’t replace the care you already get from your GP or hospital heart team.
Take our 5-minute risk assessment and we’ll match you to the right investigation.
This page is for people who have been told by a doctor that they have a heart or circulation condition, such as:
A previous heart attack
Angina
Stents or heart bypass surgery
Heart failure
Atrial fibrillation (AF) or another irregular heart rhythm
A heart valve problem
A previous stroke or mini-stroke (TIA)
A pacemaker or implantable defibrillator (ICD)
A cardiologist can look at your current symptoms, medicines and past test results. They can then advise whether anything needs checking further.
Some conditions need regular monitoring, for example an echocardiogram (heart scan) for valve problems or a heart rhythm monitor for AF. We can arrange these tests and send you a clear report.
If you’d like another specialist view on your diagnosis or treatment options, you can book a consultation to talk it through.
Working alongside your existing care: We can share your results and report with your GP or hospital team, with your permission. Please don’t stop or change any heart medicine without speaking to the doctor who prescribed it.
Call 999 immediately if you suspect a heart attack.
Everything you need to know about Existing Heart Conditions and how private cardiac assessment works.
Yes. Many people use private tests or consultations alongside their NHS care, for example to get a repeat scan sooner or a second opinion. We recommend keeping your NHS team informed.
Yes, you can still take it. It asks about any heart conditions you’ve been diagnosed with, so the cardiologist reviewing your answers has the full picture. Some parts of the results, like the 10-year risk score, are designed for people without existing heart disease, so they may not apply to you. The assessment will tell you if that’s the case.
Depends on the test.
